Mykolaiv continues to receive essential equipment from international partners to support the city’s operations. Recently, thanks to the Government of Japan, the municipal road maintenance company ELU Avtodorih received five units of brand-new modern machinery for road repair. This equipment will also be part of the future construction waste recycling plant.
The delivered aid includes four road rollers and a Sakai milling recycler. All the equipment is state-of-the-art and will significantly enhance the efficiency and quality of work performed by city road crews.
“The Sakai 555 milling recycler is unique for our city and may be the only one of its kind in Ukraine. It has a cutting width of 2.3 meters and can reach a depth of up to 45 cm in just two passes. This will allow us to carry out both current and major road repairs across city streets and improve their overall quality,” said Vitalii Shevchenko, Director of ELU Avtodorih.
Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych inspected the new machinery and expressed his gratitude to international partners for their cooperation and continued support.
“This equipment is part of our ongoing collaboration, particularly in the area of recycling construction debris into building materials, and the development of road infrastructure in Mykolaiv. I sincerely thank the Government of Japan for their continuous support of our city. I believe this equipment will soon be deployed on the streets of Mykolaiv, and residents will notice real improvements in road quality,” said Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych.
Work is ongoing to equip the future construction waste recycling plant. As a reminder, Mykolaiv had previously received from Japan a trommel screen, an asphalt paver, and other essential machinery that has significantly enhanced the enterprise’s capacity to perform its work.
