Mykolaiv received heavy equipment from the Government of Japan

As part of the Emergency Recovery Program between the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Government of Ukraine, municipal enterprises in the cities of Kharkiv, Dnipro, Kherson, and Mykolaiv have received 97 pieces of heavy machinery to improve services in the areas of transportation, water supply, and waste processing following the destruction.

This was reported by the Ministry for Communities, Territories, and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine.

In addition, a significant number of generators, pipes, and other critical equipment will be provided to municipal enterprises to restore the provision of basic services.

As a reminder, the Grant Agreement for the Emergency Recovery Program between the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Government of Ukraine was signed on March 9, 2023. It provides for a grant from the Government of Japan amounting to 22.44 billion Japanese yen (approximately $172.75 million USD) for the implementation of the Emergency Recovery Program.
