The Danish Refugee Council is Opening Its Office in Mykolaiv

Published on 31.01.2023

Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych announced that he met with the head of the organization, Charlotte Slente, today to discuss this matter.

The Danish Refugee Council is a good friend of ours. They have provided a lot of assistance in dealing with the aftermath of shelling. This includes OSB boards for damaged houses, pipes for repairing water supply networks, purification stations, and pumps for drinking water distribution points.

Considering that Denmark has taken responsibility for the restoration of Mykolaiv and we are continuously strengthening our cooperation, the Danish Refugee Council is opening its office in our city. By the way, they have job openings – I will post information about this a bit later.

It is important for us that the DRC team works directly in Mykolaiv and has the opportunity to, on one hand, directly familiarize themselves with the needs of the community, and on the other hand, ensure where and how their assistance is being directed.

said Oleksandr Sienkevych

The mayor thanked Charlotte Slente for the assistance during this challenging time.
