As part of a joint project with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and with the support of the Danish Government, Mykolaiv received the sixth PTS trolleybus with an autonomous range of up to 20 kilometers.
“Deliveries continue as part of the contract in compliance with the deadlines. We are expecting the next new trolleybus on Monday,” said Yuriy Smetana, director of the company.
At present, employees of Mykolaivelectrotrans are conducting a technical inspection of the trolleybus and checking its compliance with the specifications. The next step is the insurance and branding procedure, after which trolleybus 0046 will be put into operation on city routes.
As part of this project, the city is to receive 31 new trolleybuses with an autonomous range of up to 20 kilometers.
After the city receives 10 of these trolleybuses and prepares them for operation, they will be used to connect with remote neighborhoods of the city - the first such route will be opened to the Korabelnyi district.
