City Hospital No. 3 has received a modern surgical X-ray machine for its urology department thanks to charitable assistance from the French humanitarian association "Chain of Hope."
The new equipment will be used in the urological operating room to treat a wide range of diseases and conditions, including surgeries for urolithiasis (kidney stones), tumor removal, ureteral stenting, kidney stenting, urinary incontinence correction, and more.
"These are usually planned surgeries. At the same time, we also deal with combat injuries that require urgent medical attention. This equipment will be reliable and highly effective, including in emergency cases," said Oleg Saveliev, Head of the Urology Department.
Since the beginning of the year, the hospital's urology department has performed 147 surgeries, including 96 minimally invasive procedures.
