Federation Nationale de Protection Civile (FNPC) is a French association that focuses on raising the level of security and preparedness of the civilians for emergency situations. It works at the national level to teach citizens first aid measures, prepare for disasters, and to reduce risks in the event of natural disasters or other crises.

Its goal is to use all available resources to ensure the protection of the civilian population in peacetime, in times of crisis or war. The association also provides trainings and educational programs for the population on life safety, first aid, as well as on raising general awareness of the measures to counter and respond to emergencies.

The FNPC team consists of 32,000 volunteers, 500 local organizations, and at least 98 associations.

Federation Nationale de Protection Civile and Ukraine

With the beginning of the full-scale war, facing the humanitarian tragedy unfolding in Ukraine, FNPC is being mobilized across the country.

In cooperation with the Association of Mayors of France (AMF), FNPC organizes the collection of essential supplies, as well as medical and logistics equipment for the Ukrainian people.

The aim of this joint operation is to give a prompt response to the urgent needs of the displaced population by providing them with emergency humanitarian aid. Numerous donation collection points have already been opened across France, in particular in Bordeaux, Rumilly, Clermont-Ferrand and Strasbourg, which are organized by FNPC.

The Partnership also aims to provide logistical support to local governments. Thanks to the FNPC extensive network, city mayors can contact local branches of the organization to pick up the collected equipment.
