IsraAID is an international non-governmental humanitarian organization dedicated to providing working to provide vital disaster relief and long-term support.
It was founded in 2001. As of 2024, IsraAID has led humanitarian esponses in more than 55 countries. The organization's main mission is to provide effective support and meet the changing needs of people who seek to move from crisis to recovery and, ultimately, to a sustainable life. IsraAID launched its response to russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine by aiding refugees on the Ukrainian-Moldavian border within 72 hours and setting up a logistics hub in Romania to facilitate the inflow of aid into Ukraine. In the summer 2022, the organization proceeded with establishing an in-country office that currently implements three programs: Protection (focusing on holding specialized training, deploying child-friendly spaces, and advocating standardization in the field of providing psychosocial support), WaSH (focusing on covering basic needs in drinkable water by implementing advanced and long-term technological solutions), and Health (raising awareness of the population and strengthening the capacities of healthcare facilities).
Putting communities first and staying with them as long as it is needed, IsraAID partners with national and local authorities and non-governmental organizations, to support core programs while addressing «crises within a crisis» as they arise. At the same time, the organization aims to create a framework for long-term recovery, strengthening community resilience, and enhancing local opportunities to contribute to the building of a sustainable future.
